Title
Grounded Theory in Language Research
Abstract
Grounded Theory is one of the most used qualitative methods in Social Sciences in general and in language research. At the same time, empirical research methods are not merely tools but also an expression of general epistemological and methodological assumptions concerning the research topic and the research design.
In this talk, Prof. Ballweg will discuss the role of Grounded Theory in language research and new forms of Grounded Theory such as the Situational Analysis and highlight some practical aspects of working with this methodology.
